Eye Exams
An eye exam consists of a set of tests that are used to assess your vision and look for eye problems. Your Eye Associates of the South doctor will most likely use a variety of tools, shine bright lights on your eyes, and ask you to look through a variety of lenses. During an eye exam, each test assesses a different component of your vision or eye health and is a pain free procedure.
Pediatric Ophthalmology
At Eye Associates of the South, We understand that children have unique eye care requirements. Our pediatric ophthalmologist and optometrist are specifically trained in muscle imbalances, such as crossed or lazy eyes, in addition to general child and teen eye care.
Young patients receive specialized care at Eye Associates. Our staff maintains a welcoming and cheery environment in which children can feel safe and secure.
LASIK
With LASIK at Eye Associates of the South, there is no incision or flap made with the procedure; only a superficial scratch is used. The laser is then used to correct vision by altering the shape of the cornea. To aid in the healing of the cornea, a contact lens bandage is placed over the treatment.
Cataracts
Cataracts are the clouding of the typically clear lens of your eye. The majority of cataracts develop gradually over time, resulting in symptoms such as impaired vision. Here at Eye Associates of the South, cataracts can be safely removed surgically in an outpatient operation that restores clear eyesight to almost everyone.
