2 Convenient Locations
Eye Associates of the South offers high-quality, experienced optical services at each of our locations. With newly renovated optical shops, patients can try on hundreds of styles of glasses and receive assistance with contact lens selection.
A certified optician is trained to dispense eyeglasses. Your optician plays a critical role in making sure your eyewear fits properly, repairs broken frames, and fits our patients for contacts.
Sunglasses are a fashionable accessory, but their primary function is to shield your eyes from harmful ultraviolet radiation. UV rays are detrimental not only to your skin, but also to your eyes. In fact, long-term exposure is known to promote cataracts and macular degeneration.
High-quality lenses, like those available at Eye Associates of the South, that block 99-100 percent of UV radiation, create the ultimate pair of designer sunglasses. Many inexpensive and knock-off sunglasses do not provide this complete UV protection and will not adequately protect your eyes.
A pair of sunglasses with polarized lenses, in addition to filtering UV, may be useful for helping to lessen glare and improve comfort by reducing reflections from surfaces like glass, water and snow.

Our frames are of exceptional quality, made of the most modern and durable materials available, including Autoflex, the bendable, flex-frames for the active lifestyle customer. We carry Gucci, Lacoste, Ray-Ban, Prada and Burberry to name a few of the best designer eyewear brands and most come with a one year warranty.
We also have exclusive designer labels that you won't find just anywhere. Once a brand is discontinued, we remove it from our inventory, leaving you with only the most up-to-date eyewear styles. We also provide a large selection of children's frames in all sizes, from infant to adult.
Kids glasses should be well-fitting in order to be comfortable and provide good vision. A child may be hesitant to wear glasses if they feel uncomfortable or are constantly sliding or falling off. Remember that your child will be wearing his or her glasses for the most of his or her waking hours, and well-fitting glasses will last longer. For comfort and appropriate alignment on your child's face, the frame should be chosen to make the child happy when wearing them and adjusted properly for fit. Some children may require straps or temple tips to keep their glasses from sliding down their nose.
Most frames carry 1 year warranty
Miraflex Glasses are a signature line of Italian-made flexible and safe plastic frames with no metal pieces, making them the safest alternative for your child's protective eyewear. Whether contact lenses are a good fit for you or not may be determined by the following factors:
- Your individual expectations, and needs.
- Patience and motivation during the initial contact lens fitting and adjustment period.
- Proper wearing, disinfecting, and cleaning your contact lenses according to manufacturer's instructions.
- Diagnosis and treatment of disorders that may make it impossible for some patients to wear contact lenses.
