Mark Brown, M.D. Oculoplastics

Mark Brown, M.D., performs only Oculoplastics or “Eye Plastics,” which is a subspecialty of ophthalmology and requires extensive additional training.

Dr. Brown is board certified and fellowship trained in oculoplastics and is a member of American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (ASOPRS). He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Brown is one of only two oculoplastics subspecialists with this level of training on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and is highly regarded throughout the Southeastern United States.

He is well qualified to perform cosmetic surgery involving the eyelids, eyebrows, the cheeks and the lacrimal (tear) system. He also treats a wide range of eye-related complications from previous surgeries or trauma. In addition, he performs surgeries to help treat eyelid skin cancers, orbital tumors and orbital fractures.

He received his oculoplastic training in at the University of Illinois-Chicago. He completed his Residency in Ophthalmology at New York University Medical Center. His medical school education was completed at the prestigious Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Brown received his undergraduate degree at Harvard College.

Dr. Brown is on the faculty of two medical schools and has published numerous scientific papers and chapters in his subspecialty.

Dr. Brown resides in Mobile, Alabama and sees patients at Eye Associates of the South’s Biloxi clinic.
