
Adam Quinn, M.D. Board Certified Ophthalmologist
Adam Quinn, M.D., is a board certified ophthalmologist who specializes in glaucoma treatment and surgery.
Quinn joined Eye Associates of the South’s team in 2020 to bring enhanced care to glaucoma patients on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He is Mississippi’s only fellowship trained glaucoma surgeon south of Jackson.
Born in Baton Rouge, La., Dr.Quinn was chief resident in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAB), which is nationally known for its medical school.
He began his higher education as an undergraduate at Louisiana State University in 2009. In 2013, he earned his medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, La. He took his internship at Baptist Health System in Birmingham and his ophthalmology residency at the UAB. In addition, he completed his fellowship in glaucoma at UAB.
Besides being chief resident, his academic honors include:
- Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society at LSU Health Sciences Center.
- Faculty Award for Academic Achievement at LSU Health Sciences Center.
- Summa Cum Laude at LSU.
He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons, and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Quinn sees patients on Wednesdays at Eye Associates of the South’s Biloxi clinic. His specialty services include but are not limited to glaucoma laser surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and glaucoma filtering surgery.
Glaucoma is a condition of increased pressure within your eye, which can damage your optic nerve and cause gradual vision loss or even blindness. Most people with glaucoma have no early symptoms or pain.
Dr. Quinn regularly practices at Hattiesburg (Miss.) Eye Clinic. He lives in Hattiesburg with his wife and two daughters.
